    Moving across the world is an incredible adventure, but anyone who has done it knows the truth: making a new place genuinely feel like home takes time.


    It usually starts with the little things you suddenly realize you miss. For many of us, it’s the rich, immersive soundscape of the high-end home stereo system we had to leave behind. For others, it’s the tactile, comforting ritual of dropping a needle onto a favorite vinyl record—an analog experience that digital streaming files simply cannot replicate.


    When we first began talking to fellow expatriates in our community, a common theme emerged. Expats everywhere desperately missed their home setups but were locked out by exorbitant international shipping fees, confusing import logistics, and inflated legacy luxury markups.

    That is why Xpat Shopping was born.


    We wanted to create a highly curated, trusted destination built by expats, entirely for expats. We do the heavy lifting of sourcing and testing products that solve real expatriate pain points.

Our journey began in beautiful Iloilo, where a mutual friend stepped in as a matchmaker and brought us together. Though we come from different generations and have a unique age gap, our lives lined up perfectly—neither of us had ever been married or had children, allowing us to build a fresh, unwritten chapter completely together.

Today, Xpat Shopping is more than just a business; it’s a partnership rooted in mutual support. One of "Big Al’s" primary goals is ensuring MJ finishes college and builds a foundation to become a completely independent, successful individual.
